Perfectly fair, and in my opinion the exact correct type of law to use for this purpose, rather than some new and stupid “AI regulation.”
Note however that trademark law is used to protect brands from being misrepresented or reputationally-damaged, not to grant them rights that prohibit anyone from speaking their name, or drawing their logo, or wearing a Happy Meal box as a hat.
Making a TS deepfake and setting it as your desktop wallpaper (or printing it and putting it on your wall) does not harm Taylor, and I don’t expect trademarks impact that either. Distributing or selling deepfakes of her, or using them to promote your porn site, endorse candidates, or to voice AI-generated music videos, I think this is the absolutely perfect tool to stop.

Good for her. I hope more people do this. Celebs, of course, have the means/support to do this. But I hope non-celebs also do this. If nothing else, then to force the AI-industry to figure out how to share the $$$$ to the original content creators
